What is I Build India?
I Build India (IBI) is a citizen-led initiative and a proof of concept for a civic operating system: one that documents small infrastructure with public impact, built by ordinary people, to solve everyday problems. Like a broken footpath they fixed, a streetlight they funded or a rooftop solar system they installed.
By making these efforts visible and verifiable, IBI is building the case for a new system: where governments could recognize citizen-built assets and offer income-tax credits for them — up to a defined annual limit — so that what you spend on verified public-impact infrastructure comes back to you as tax credits.

The “I” in I Build India is deliberate – it is about you.
IBI recognizes citizens not just as beneficiaries of public spending, but as builders of public good. It is about agency – the ability for you to say, “This is something I helped build for public use.”
How IBI Works
Citizens recognize a small, practical public infrastructure gap.
Citizens fund & execute the projects through local vendors
Details, costs, location & proof are uploaded to IBI
Projects appear publicly and outcomes are transparently aggregated over time*
